Hello everyone,

I accidentally skipped over the process of introducing myself on the forum when I was under a different username - my bad, apologies!

Now I have a DIFFERENT username and I wanted to offically introduce myself. I'm new to the forum and have been coming here since June 2012.

Lots of great stuff here, especially in the archives, and great feedback from the pillars of the community. I look forward to being a part of this forum and growing with it! Smile

Welcome, Bruce! You will indeed learn lots and lots here. Including (but not limited to) who to give chocolate, fun things to do with llamas, and other such important VO stuff.

You're wasting your time. Ignorant bunch of gobsh*tes with all the wisdom, knowledge and skills of a Mumbai call centre ..Still, it's your dime*.

Welcome from a Corinthian Column as opposed to a pillar.

Welcome again. I like BruceG as a username. It implies you are a real person unencumbered by overwhelming sense of your own enormity and prowess. I'm always a little suspicious of people who have handles like "BigHairyVoice" or "PipesThatRock" (that wasn't you, was it?).

Anyway... that's my tuppence-worth... which is actually less than the dime's worth that Philip alluded to.

Cry Hussar... and forward, gobsh*tes all!

Thanks guys for the welcome!

Actually, the handle I used was Smooth-N-Sooth'n, which, I am embarrassed to admit to, but as you pointed out - I am a real person and so I wanted to just simply be me. That was my main reason for changing the username. Smile

Now...is it my turn to report for llama duty? Laugh

Another Bruce? Well, welcome anyway. Yes, you are on Llama duty, watercress harvesting, and chocolate cake baking.

By the way, these VO ladies love their chocolate! I inquired about coaching from one and was told that in order to be teacher's pet, I had to bring chocolate.

Yes, I am going to bring chocolate - I ain't no dummy.

Nancy Wolfson likes Jelly Babies. The downside is that the ones she loves are supplied by the Co-op in Buckie.

Another Bruce. Yikes. Reminds me of 4th grade when we had 3 and occasionally 4 Bruces in the same classroom. Chaos did ensue from time to time. I'm the third generation Bruce in a row in my family (but thankfully I'm not a III as all our middle names were different) but at family occasions my Mom would keep us straight by calling us Bruce the father, Bruce the son and Bruce the holy ghost.

Welcome aboard Bruce (G). A much better name than that other thing!

B

AARGH. Well now I got me going. Just tracked this down:

- There are 413,119 people in the U.S. with the first name Bruce.
- Statistically the 141st most popular first name.
- More than 99.9 percent of people with the first name Bruce are male. (Really?)

Of the 11 million men in Australia just over 4 million are named Bruce, 85,002 women carry the name, plus three koalas and a wallaby. Let me double check that. I've temporarily misplaced my cheaters.

I agree - sorry for even putting that out there - was trying to be a little creative but it kinda fell flat! Mello

Quite impressive! Had no idea that over 85K women had that name too. BTW, being an Oregonian by birth (North Bend, OR), I havta say Portland's a great city. Smile
