Hi guys,
I'm in the testing phase of Adobe Audition CS6 and I have to tell you that I can't stop jumping for joy!
-First, the playback of videos has been fixed. It's now possible to do dubbing of videos as the videos play smoothly. So far all the videos I've tried worked perfectly, even when I open them big on a separate window.
I could never get this to work properly on 3.0
-The wave edit view and spectral view are now on the same screen.
I cannot begin to tell you how much time this saves me with the editing!
I can use different tools on each view without having to go back and forth. LOVE it!
For those who don't know, the spectral view allows to identify and remove the exact frequency of clicks, pops etc...without touching the voice part; this allows to clean the files really well.
-it loads much faster too.
So this is what I've noticed so far and that's good enough for me to get the upgrade.
So if you are on 3.0; go and try it! _________________ www.clairedodin.com |

Agreed! I am a huge fan of AA CS6. I know everyone has their preferences, and everyone gets used to what they use, but after I made the switch to AA, I wouldn't use anything else. I think it's the perfect solution for VO in most situations.
I have also enjoyed the video feature. Makes quick work of syncing up video to your audio. I have used it with multiple clients who wanted me to get the timing set for them.
One thing that I have done is change the hotkeys so that 'f' is autoheal, 'd' is switch between spectral view and regular view, and 'r' is record. This really speeds up editing, as I can switch back and forth from spectral to waveform and remove pops really fast without having to move my left hand from the standard keyboard position. Love it! |

the beauty of CS6 is that you don't need to switch back and forth between the views, you can have them both on your screen at the same time, one below the other. I'm not sure how I got this to work though, it seemed to automatically be this way on the edit view. _________________ www.clairedodin.com |

Good review. I've been with AA 3.0 for a couple of years and really like it. I also use the spectral view quite a bit; in fact, I do most of my editing in spectral once I learned how to use it. |

Spectral editing blew me away the first time I discovered how to use it! Can't live without it now! _________________ www.clairedodin.com |
