Worcester, England. October 4th 1982.
A virgin v/o steps up to the mic splutters:
"What attracts aquarists to Stourport-on-Severn's Slippery Sales?"
Well, despite my painfully amateur efforts - amazingly - it appears they're still in business www.slipperysales.co.uk
And thirty years on - to the very day - looks like I've survived too.
It's been quite a ride. Highs, lows, yadda yadda.
But like I always say; it sure as hell beats working! _________________ Colin Day - UK Voiceover

1982 in the UK:
Mark Thacher lost and (unfortunately) found in the Sahara.
Laker Airways collapses.
DeLorean goes bust.
The Falklands War
The Ford Cortina is put to rest
Gandhi released
Prince William & Matt Smith born
Alex Harvey & Marty Feldman die
Wogan & The Young Ones make their TV debut
Culture Club, Duran Duran & Adam Ant dent the charts
... and Colin hits the microphone
Congratulations! I hope this small walk down memory lane wasn't too traumatic _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

Interesting that Bish's 1982 references include the Delorean and Matt Smith, both of which can traverse time at will. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

My brain is not processing things correctly. Since I did my first VO work in 1972 - that would make this...um...add the 5 and carry the one...my...ack!...40th anniversary...can someone call the paramedics? _________________ Playing for a living...
