VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Hi!

I've been lurking for about a week and am relatively new, so please forgive me if this post breaks a rule or etiquette. I felt so rude not introducing myself!

My name's Alanna O'Brien. I've been a theater actress for over 8 years and am switching to animation voice over, I have my demos and such on my website, www.alannaobrien.com in case you're curious.

I'm very happy to be a part of the VO-BB community and look forward to contributing once I have something of substance to say. Laugh

Your etiquette is spot-on... lurk for a bit and then say "Hi".

You'll soon get the run-down on the coffee, cake and chocolate stuff... the llama duty is compulsory (although, thankfully, short-lived). It's too late to tell you about Todd, as you've already met (he was quite well behaved though).

VO, eh? New York, eh? Hmmm... There's a whole bunch of us here from NY/NJ. I'll drop you a note Smile

Chocolate has only been alluded to so far but it really is compulsory. New person brings chocolate. Dark preferably.

There ARE a lot of us here from NY - though Bish isn't FROM NY - dont let that British accent fool you. And a lot of people will be in NY Dec 1st for the VO mixer. You should be there too if you haven't already signed up. Might as well jump into the deep end.

Melissa is the guardian of all thinks chocolate and New York.. although it must be pointed out that she lives in New Jersey, so I actually question her credentials.

There may be blood on this thread before long...

Mel... I sent Alanna all the mixer info... but she knew about it anyway. You New York women are too fast for me.

Born in the city, grew up in the city, went to school in the city, via bus and subway - by ourselves, might I add - as was the norm for native New Yorkers when we were kids. School buses? What were those? Never set foot in one.

My temporary banishment to New Jersey is of no consequence.
