|

For some unknown reason, and out of the blue, my TwistedWave just wont open. I've tried reinstalling but it won't open. Under the Apple/Force Quit option it shows that TW is open, but the programme just isn't showing on the screen. This has me baffled.....who can give some urgent HELP!!! I'm running OS X 10.6.8
......cheers

I have no experience troubleshooting this sort of thing on Mac, Peter, but a couple ideas came to mind: have you rebooted? (probably ) and also, is it somehow possible that TW is loaded but displaying on a secondary desktop? Personally I don't use multiple desktops on my Mac but I know they're there.
Hope that advice may turn out to be worth more than you paid for it. _________________ jen@jengosnell.com

Hi Peter,
I would have expected your re-install to reset this but you may have accidentally set the Preferences to not open anything on launch.
Next time you launch it, try ctrl comma to open the Preferences window, or (if you have it) click on the TwistedWave icon in the dock and you should get some options in the little strip at the top of your display, even if you can't see anything in the main desktop area.
TwistedWave > Preferences > General, Application Behaviour, On launch.
Good luck! |

Thanks guys but here is the reply just received from Thomas at TW
[i]Hi Peter,
I have recently fixed a problem that prevented TwistedWave from launching correctly after some VST plugins were installed. I could fix it, and the correction will be available in the next update. Until then, you can use the current development version:
http://twistedwave.com/download/TwistedWave1.10.1.55.dmg
http://twistedwave.com/download/TwistedWave64-1.10.1.55.dmg
If that does not fix the problem, could you try renaming or moving the Preferences file, located in your home directory, in:
Library/Application Support/TwistedWave/Preferences
Let me know if that still does not fix the problem.
Thomas

Awesome!! Who the heck knows what happens inside the guts of a computer that requires a fix to something that was working fine one day, not the next.
