....for the people of Newtown, Connecticut, our country, the world.

I guess digging back into my work is the best way to keep from crying.

Please, no discussion here of gun laws or catching crazies before they launch. There are other, better forums for that. I just needed to share my utter shock and sadness. When you work in such a "personal" business, it's hard sometimes when other things are preying on your mind and soul.

I just want to hold my kids when things like this happen. Thanks for sharing, Bruce.

Just praying that those families are comforted and that these kids are affected by this tragedy as little as possible.

I've been out of the loop for a few hours today and am just now finding out about this awful shooting. My heart also goes out to the families of those who were killed or injured. It is just senseless.

Senseless and tragic. It's unfathomable to normal people how this can happen. Discussions are rampant elsewhere and I have dipped my toe in that water as part of the process of dealing with my own incredulity and shock. There is nothing so tragic in this world as a parent losing a child... especially in a manner such as this. My daughter is thousands of miles away. I wish she wasn't.

After seeing the news reports and hearing about the deaths of so many children, all I could do was cry. And I haven't cried that way in a long time.

...goals for the day slipped into the void. while tears were held at bay, the overwhelming numbness was broken only by brief flashes of absolute rage.
