I was checking my google analytics data today, and noticed that more users were visiting my website via mobile device than from a Windows computer in the last few months. I'm sure a number of those are tablet users, but I thought it was interesting to note that a mobile compatible website seems to be (at least for me) something that we should consider when developing a website (or overhauling an old one). |

Yeah, I think it's time to flip the script...design a great-looking/sounding mobile site that also happens to look good when viewed on an actual computer. _________________ Doug Turkel (tur-KELL)

Are there any good free tools for creating a mobile a . or at least a more mobile friendly version of an existing website? _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Doug: Interestingly enough, I would consider that a simpler task. _________________ Corey "Vox Man" Snow

I would consider it an impossible task...if I had to do it. My web guy needs to make some changes to my site. It doesn't display properly when visited in landscape mode on an iPhone or iPad. |

Thanks for the tip on woorank.com. I'm going to try their free trial next week. As for a free alternative that really gave me some answers pronto, I found this on a search of similar sites to woorank.
Woo, rank indeed!

Holy crap. I checked out my site with this and I have a LOT of work to do to bring it up to speed (by their standards).

Hmm...I just checked out the website of a colleague that I really like that has fantastic SEO for his site (he's not a frequent poster here, btw).
So, his site has two issues fixed that I need to fix, otherwise he has many of the same mistakes my site has, and a few that I do not. His site gets a 64% rating, while mine got a 58% (if I'm remembering correctly)...and yet I would be oh so happy to show up in the searches as he does. Its funny, because his site didn't show up that highly until this past year's re-design, and now it's doing great.
My goal is to now get like a 85% rating (which I can do) and see if there are corresponding results: I'll blog about that later if it works! _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

Thanks Michael, I have the Google Webmaster Tools and the Bing Tools (those are extremely good too). Those are very helpful for keywords (and I turn up in the top 10-15 for the four things that I've targeted). Much work to do! A good way to start the New Year! _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover
