This is what I envisioned. I think it works aesthetically as well as functionally and could be accomplished for well under $100.

Nice job on the model! That's a great concept desk. |

That's pretty cool dude! If this voice thing doesn't work out for you, you could design furniture.
I will explore you concept. Thank you! _________________ Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics

I'm happy I ran across this discussion. Due to physical problems sitting down for a long time is unpleasant for me--I think I need to invest in a geek desk. (Thanks Doug! ) _________________ Any project, any size, I can help.

Personally, I would not enjoy standing all day. I love my desk and chair but I also love having the ability to listen back and do on-they-fly edits right in the booth. Perhaps that should be where you invest?
My hubby is 6'5" and spends the day editing audio. He is a "can't sit still" kind of person so he made a unit that goes on the treadmill and holds his editing station. He walks while editing, while talking to co-workers, while surfing the web for furniture making plans, etc. _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.
