Oh, the decision! I-Phone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy 3 S--both from Verizon. Any thoughts, guys? |

Haha! It sure could be. Android vs. iPhone is another touchy one. I've had that argument in person...I can get passionate. I will give no opinions...only verifiable information. I'm not crossing Jeff on this one.
I like both...just depends on what you want in a phone. You want android a s...go android...you want iOS a s...go iPhone. There is no longer a restriction on mobile recording, you can use the Apogee MiC on iOS and the Blue Spark Digital on both (thanks to the cheap USB android fix).
Neither is "better"...they just have different things they excel at. |

Yup... could be dangerous. The only safe thing to say is don't get a Blackberry
The only thing I would say is that if you already have any investment in the Apple ecosystem (Mac, iPad, i-anything), then it's an iPhone all the way. If you don't, then judge each on its merits. Ignoring OS issues, I have small hands, and actually prefer a smaller phone. Also, if you get any form of robust case (OtterBox or whatever) a big phone gets even bigger. I cannot make a call with one hand (thumb-dial) on the larger smartphones. Not a major issue maybe, but worth keeping in mind.
If money is an issue, the 4S can be had for $100 (or the 4 for nothing) with either AT&T or Verizon on a 2-year plan. _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

I got my first smart phone just a couple of months ago and I've been so busy I haven't had time to fully explore it, but I will say I truly enjoy my iPhone 5. Talking to Siri is a kick... the voice command and dictation functions are wonderful except for the words she doesn't get...I tried to dictate to a friend "Muchas gracias seņor dude"... wow...no. Now that Apple has kissed and made up with Google over the map a , that great feature is available now in the 5.
This really is a Chevy vs. Ford truck kind of debate. The top ones of each brand are all good. However, if you're on a Mac computer then the iPhone I believe makes a titch more sense because all the syncing between devices is so easy to set up.
Best advice from me is to get a quality durable case for it like the Otter brand. Those phones seem really slippery in my rich, buttery fingers.

I just KNEW that was going to rile some of our lovely Canadian friends
But... there may be an element of truth in Elaine's statement. RIM are down, but not out. Evidently the anticipated Blackberry 10 has made an appearance on the FCC database and RIM are moving forward with new phones under the new OS. This new phone will have to be pretty good to impact on the iOS and Android market share... but it may easily kill off the Windows phone _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

This one is easy. Live in the iCloud? get an iphone. Google your god? go with Android.
Neither choice apply to you, but you are a geek? Galaxy s3.
like predictable (in a good way), boring phones? iPhone.
