To be honest this is more than a microphone photo it is a photo of a microphone receiving a shock. Luckily the microphone is in a so-called shockmount. On being told that its brother Uwe had been eaten by a Roman Catholic Priest it registered NO SHOCK thus proving the device effective.

OMH... Steak and Kidney pie and a Neumann in the same post. Call a moderator... it's porn I tell you!!!

As for the first point... although the words were difficult to type, I was offered a job on a plate the other day which I respectfully turned down on account of the money on the table. I countered with something reasonable and I expect to hear nothing. It was, however, an empowering experience.

Hold the line.

I'm disappointed. I would have expected, considering the price of the Neumann shockmount, that they would have used magical, non-fraying elastic mounting bands (soaked in unicorn tears before sale).

You're a detective.... Figure it out.....

Either he's not using it as often as he says he is....

Or he's a lousy housekeeper. Wink

Ewww, is that what that is? That's disgusting looking!!!

The steak and kidney thingy, not the dirty U87. The purple is a nice touch though.

With closer examination, the elastic cords of the mount appear to be the only parts that are gathering... pet dander. Recommend the collies be removed from the sound booth before grooming.

That's probably not all dust. Those are cloth-covered rubber bands holding the mic, and that's likely just fuzz from the cloth.

Or it's tendrils from some exotic spores.

To Bruce's point, I've recently installed an Exotic Spore Tendril
screen on my Neumann.

Photos, however, would be imprudent. (And would likely be met
with a Grumpy Cat-esque response.)
