That was funny. I hadn't heard of this comic before, though. Thanks for the great find! _________________ "Man is so made that whenever anything fires his soul, impossibilities vanish." - Jean de la Fontaine |

OMG that's funny, and he's funny.
Of course there's the old classic Guantanamera which I can only hear as "One ton of metal" forever more.
When I first heard the Beach Boys' Good Vibrations I kept wondering what kind of name is Grayshun and why are they saying goodbye to her?

There's a website devoted to mis-heard lyrics. It is named for the Jimi Hendrix song line, "Excuse me while I kiss the sky." Unfortunately, that can create a problem because in the same way that Amazon and eBay know to send you recommendations for things that are similar to items you've looked at on their sites, and your web browser feeds you ads based on sites that you've recently visited, going to www.kissthisguy.com could cause your browser to start showing you ads for gay porn sites. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

great stuff!
personal story - there's a hymn that goes "Great things happen when God mixes with us" ... one day on the way home from church a 5 year-old andrew was singing "Great things happen when God misses the bus."
i still laugh every time i think of it. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

OMG Todd - I think you just took me back to folk choir in 10th grade with that "Great Things Happen" reference. I can TOTALLY see how the small Andrew would have heard what he did. Thanks for cracking me up this morning. _________________ jen@jengosnell.com

One of the best comedians of the last 10 years. Even better when he was being interviewed by Michael Parkinson. Thanks for the post Philip. |

And let's not forget the CCR classic "Bad moon rising" when John Fogerty sings
"Don't go out tonite,
for it's bound to take your life,,
Therrre's a bathroom on the right" |

Might as well resurrect this one as long as we're on the subject.

The first one I can ever recall hearing about came from one of the kids that were interviewed as a regular feature of Art Linkletter's House Party TV show.
It was a line from "God Bless America:"
"Stand beside her and guide her through the night with the light from a bulb." _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.
