Most VO people are like Lead Guitarists and the best way to audition one for a band is to give them 3 notes ...ONLY 3, not 3 repeated 200 times at speed through an effects box and see what they do when you play a song.
More often it's what we don't as opposed to what we do.
PULL UP! Is not a friendly suggestion.
GLIDE SLOPE! Is a reminder that a pilot is trained to fly at a set rate of descent and NOW would be a good time to do it. It's OY! Not ahem, excuse me. |

LOL! That is awesome!
Now I just have to find a place for my 'angry dad voice' I seem to have perfected lately _________________ “Real freedom is freedom from the opinions of others. Above all, freedom from your opinions about yourself. ”

What a small, select audience. What a big, impressive job. Congratulations!

I love this story so very much. Thanks for sharing, Donna! Congratulations!
What do we call that little term that everyone gets assigned as something of a descriptor of how many posts they have contributed to the board? Whatever it's called, I suggest that Donna's should be permanently changed to "Dangerous"!

Great story Donna! And kudos to you! How cool is it to think that for years to come your voice will be an integral part of these pilot's safety. _________________ Moe Egan

Dangerous; this must have been an amazing and wonderous experience for you! What a trip! (both geographically and mentally!) I hope you will carry that feeling around with you for a long, long time...
From now on, as far as I'm concerned, the "BB" in VOBB stands for Bitchin Betty!
