I finally got around to officially joining the Media Communications Association - International, and the coolest thing about that is that my confirmation email came from
Connie Terwilliger!

To restate Liz' statement...
MCA-I is an association primarily of video producers. shooters, editors, writers - it must not become an association of voiceover people, so, please please please get a producer to join if you decide to join.
I joined in 1987 when I was a full-time producer/writer/talent for General Dynamics.

In my little town it seems to be mostly independent filmmakers. A jolly group they are.

Yes - we need to get the corporate producers back in the MCA-I fold in St. Louis - so tag - you're it Donna!
Dig through your database of local corporate folks - maybe a name or two might pop up as perfect candidates.

When I joined a few years ago and was put on the National Board, the MCA-I Buffalo Chapter consisted of me, myself and I.
After 2-3 years the local chapter decided I was a moron and that I was not worthy to be a member - they drummed me out of the corps.
