FYI, ProTools 11 now supports offline bouncing. It was a real drag to have to bounce in real-time. That's been dealt with in this version. _________________ Ben Stovall Voiceover

Yes, it's optional to offline bounce for those who use that process in their workflow. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Hi fellas,
Pro Tools 10 has been giving me fits, changing my sends every time I close a session and other weird buggy problems, like quitting unexpectedly. Fun. Does 11 seem to have resolved those issues? _________________ RenaMarie Villano | VO Artist

more info please.. are you on PC or Mac? how much memory? what are your buffer settings? what do you mean by "changing sends"? changing the name of the send? the routing? _________________ Lee Kanne

I'm on an iMac, OS 10.8.3. 4GB of memory. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Buffer size 128 samples. Each time I close and reopen a session, Pro Tools has changed my I/O Bus paths, making some of them inactive, so I continually have to go back in and re-assign them before I can work again. _________________ RenaMarie Villano | VO Artist

OH, also, it changes the names of the sends AND the routing. _________________ RenaMarie Villano | VO Artist

Hey You! Welcome to the board!
I'm running a very similar configuration with no problems at all.
My gut says do a clean uninstall and then reinstall. You won't loose plugin settings or session templates. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Okay -- I'm at 10.3.4; I'll try 10.3.5. Thank you.
Hi Chuck! Oddly, I've done Clean Uninstalls and Re-Installs each time and the problem continues to present itself with each successive update. I've deleted Preference and Database folders -- all that jazz. Nothing seems to fix the problem. ?? _________________ RenaMarie Villano | VO Artist

I'm still on Pro Tools 8, and if you know what you have and don't need to monitor during the bounce, you can consolidate the region, if need be, and export the region as a file, either MP3, AIF or MOV, in matter of seconds. I produce five half hour radio programs per week and each program takes less than 10 seconds to export. _________________ Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics
