Since I switched to using an LCD monitor in my booth a few years back (what a great move that was), I've realized I no longer need my big honkin' music stand. I'd love to take it out of my tiny 4x4 booth to free up some room. So what I need is a floor stand that I can attach my monitor to. I did find a reasonably priced stand, but it was too short at 44 inches. I need something more like 48 - 50 inches (yeah, those few inches make a difference).

Any ideas?

Something kinda like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Premier-Mounts-b72-vpm-72-1829mm-Tall-LED-LCD-TV-or-Monitor-Floor-Stand-/330851404994?pt=UK_Home_Garden_LivingRoom_TV_Furniture&hash=item4d0847ccc2

Except half the price or less (this holds up to a 72 inch monitor, mine is only 22 inches), and I need to be able to mount the monitor nearly flat (horizontal rather than vertical).

Tom-

Not sure if you want to do this or not but I mounted my monitor to the wall of my booth and it works great. Saves space and saves from printing scripts all the time. I'm getting ready now to mount a mic stand to my wall now. Any space I can save in my 4x4 is valuable Real Estate. Just a thought if it helps...

Thanks Glen ! I'd love to see a picture of your wall mount installation, if you can! I had thought of that option as well. in fact, it would probably work better than a floor stand. The big issue is that most often monitors are mounted vertically rather than horizontally, and I'm concerned it may not adjust enough to sit fairly flat (and I'm not sure how I'd find out that information on any given model). But I'll poke around and see what i can find.
