Funny thing is, over the years I've done jobs for Aetna, Cigna, The Hartford, Lincoln Financial, Mass Mutual, and Phoenix Mutual and none of them has ever required it. |
There's no financial benefit to them by requiring it of themselves. The benefit is when their paying customers must pay more because of non-covered contractors.
And, hey, I'm not saying every insurance company requires it; just that the question has come up repeatedly from my clients (non-voiceOver) and my own insurance company a lot over the last two years. _________________ Bob Ransom

Bruce,
I live uphill from some very aggressive shooters and I'll keep your bullet advice in mind next time they're doing a Vin Diesel Action Hero Wannabee act on the enemy trees overtaking their property.

We have workmen's comp in our business policy, even though it's just the two of us. We also have unemployment insurance (required by state law), so if we fire ourselves, we can sue ourselves for unemployment benefits. Oh, the joys of being "the man". _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |
