Replaced my Lexicon interface today and picked up the new Focusrite Forte. Amazing sound with such a small footprint and an elegant controller to boot. Chatted with Focusrite online about the premium preamps that are in line with their new Rednet series. The Midnight Suite EQ & Compressor plugins are really nice too. The EQ has super controls and sound. Killer sound and lots of headroom.

Good choice, Eddie.

Keep us posted on how you feel about it once you've had a little more time with it.

FYI, in case you were considering Source Connect, it is probably not compatible with Focusrite drivers.

I use a Focusrite 8i6 and SC Pro. No compatibility issues here.

Is that from the scarlett series, Graeme? I read on their site that was one of the only systems they have issues with, and that is my one deterrence from getting the 2i2 or the itrack. Saffire looks promising tho, as its thunderbolt compatible, and i never use that port for anything else.

I talked with SC and they said that I would need to upgrade from the standard SC for it to work with the Forte. There's a compatibility issue.

The 8i6 is part of Focusrite's Scarlett series.
