I was just hoping people might be willing to post some pictures and details of there home studios. Thought it might be fun to compare ideas.
Take care! _________________ http://neilkhessvo.com |

This is a new setup at a different location other than my old than my (-75dbu) studio. Due to the high ceilings, it sounds like an echo chamber compared to my last home studio, I will be sound proofing the closet in the next few weeks.
Mac Mini OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2
RME BabyFace A/D converter
Sennheiser MKH-416 P48
Gefell MT71s
Pro Tools 10
Adobe Audition cs6
Waves v7 plugins
Focusrite Forte Suite Plugin
Softube Plugins

The awesome part is that Kafer makes a perfectly good living in this space. _________________ Don Brookshire

108 audiobooks and counting in this space. Plus I'm rather fond of the fish background. I get lots of compliments when I skype. _________________ Jeff

@ Kafer - How are you hanging the blankets around you? Room divider? Shower curtain rod? Something else? _________________ http://neilkhessvo.com |

The original pics told the story much better. I particularly liked the bear stuffed in the corner.... Impromptu bass trap. _________________ Don Brookshire

This is why, at the moment, I have at least a dozen beanie-babies scattered around the studio... and probably a dozen more waiting for deployment.

These panorama shots look mighty weird!
Left to right:
Printer, laptop, BX5a monitor, 2x23" Cinema displays (MacPro other side of wall), SM7B hanging down on articulated arm, other speaker (duh!), Apogee Duet, head for holding headphones and hat, CAD E100S behind pop-filter, iPad, Rack with Mackie 1202VLZ-3, dBX286a and CDQ Prima 110 ISDN box. _________________ Bish a.k.a. I was never, ever going to show anyone my setup because it is SO basic, but since Jeff's isn't much more impressive, here goes. Besides, it works.
I don't have the 100+ audiobooks Jeff does, but I do have 17 of them so far.
RE20 mike
CAD E100s mike
PreSonus Bluetube mixer/pre-amp
Sony Vaio laptop
Audition CS5.5
M-Audio BX5 monitors
Sony MDR-7506 headphones
2 dogs (Lizzie & Kevin)
And since someone above asked about how the blankets are hung, you'll see in the pic below how I hung mine. Bought some super strong vise-clips at Home Depot and put some very tough wall anchors up, then screwed the viseclips into the wall anchors. The soundproofing? Very thick comforters from WalMart.

I might post mine once I've cleaned up this mess. Mine's very much on the "functional" scale, heh. But the clutter... let's just say I lead a disorganized existence. _________________ Corey "Vox Man" Snow
