Moi!
Anyone familiar with this piece of equipment? Thinking of using my Saffire Pro 14 by bypassing the firewire, but this might be a better solution as the cost will be just a little bit more.
Someone on GS thinks it is as good as RME !?
Any thoughts?
All the best,

You mean this thread?
Honestly, from the handful of people I know using stand-alone A/D/A conversion in their studio, the added frustration they occasionally face with wordclock settings and such make me think it's not worth dealing with (mostly Pro Tools' fault). But using the optical I/O of your PC/Mac SHOULD result in lower noise as the A/D is electrically isolated from the computer.
That SRC2496 is impossible to beat for the price if you use even a couple of the features. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Yes, that was the thread I referred to in my previous posting.
So often, Behringer stuff is put down in the treads, and perhaps there was a reason in the past. But it this works like it is supposed to it looks really good!
Thanks!
