one of our local tv affiliates - and you know how top-notch they are! -- has a pic on their website of the 2 guards in front of hospital, and a sub-headline that says: the heir is almost apparent.

... actually it's a misconception. Scotch Eggs and Spotted Dick are in fact, not foodstuffs, but medical complaints.
However... bubble'n'squeek is ambrosia.
Strangely enough, I recently found a tinned Spotted Dick in the imported foods section of my local supermarket... I bought it just to have it in the cupboard so I could easily amuse American visitors.
