I've had the Heinz canned spotted dick. I'm afraid it's nothing like the real thing made at a good restaurant here. Although one eatery still used the reconstituted powdered custard on top instead of fresh. Odd, but "homey" to some folks I'm sure.

You can usually buy the Bird's Custard Powder in the same supermarkets that carry the Heinz Spotted Dick.
