We haven't talked about this in a while, but a question from a board member about the ROI on Google Ad Words brought this recollection from me from my experience a few years ago:
Quote: | I went through the official Google Ad Words program where they helped me pick search terms (often inane and nonsensical to me) and encouraged me to pay $1 or more per click which exhausted my budget pretty quickly. Results were mixed and rarely thrilling.
However, before I started their consultation and chose my own terminology, I got a $1,000 job off of a 25-cent click through.
Your mileage may definitely vary. |
They clearly didn't know the VO business at the time and they often made me wonder whose bottom line they were most interested in.
Anybody had (having) a truly rewarding experience with Ad Words?

I joined it just yesterday and was about to ask the same questions, Bruce! I'm curious if it helped anyone here... _________________ Tom Dheere - The "H" is Silent, but I'm Not!

My experience has been all over the board. I've never LOST money, but it wasn't always the greatest ROI. I doubt I'll personally keep it going. There seems to be better places to throw money. |
