I always stand. But I'm used to doing long form narration - I usually do about 1.5 - 2 hrs before taking a break. Even the books I've narrated have been done standing. I wear different shoes depending upon what I'm narrating.

But I don't lose weight like Corey does. That's not fair.

Whatever floats your boat! I sit whenever possible. But I also wear a prosthesis, so my first priority is comfort. I know many who cannot do vo sitting. And, I've never seen Frank Welker or Jim Cummings stand at a session. So sitting does not take the brilliance out of a brilliant actor. You just need to do what's best for you.
Ps- I've also never done an audio book, and I never will. But I do have 8 hour animated feature sessions and always sit. I also sit in my home booth when just auditioning. Again, just do what works for you.

Ha!

But this does, rather appropriately, describe what some of us must do from time to time to collect payment. Mello
