Here's something encouraging.... A fairly new development....

Trailers for books.

I've seen a number of leads for these come thru on V123 and wondered about them. The particular link you posted intrigues me from the perspective of the book's content. I was a bit less enthused about the narration.

As appealing as a mains powered bath toy for a 5 year old.

I loved the room tone in that riveting voice-over. Is that available in a plugin?

There's a guy who posts dozens of book trailer jobs on Voices.com for 100 bucks a pop (net $90.91 after SurePay fee). I wonder if this was one of them.

I've done a small handful over the years, paying better than $90 (but not much better). I've heard a few on Hulu over the years, but have no idea where else they might be playing.

I've done a few, myself, although not for the guy I alluded to above and not for $100. One of the first book trailers I did was for some distant relative of Peter Benchley and the finished product was so horrible (bad acting in the clips, clunky video editing, and they distorted the crap out of my voice track) that I never posted it anywhere or showed it to anyone.

Kill the Video Editor.

Seems like he could have taken that obnoxious room tone (background noise) and chopped off a nice piece and duplicated it to use it to fill in the gaps. It wouldn't have taken THAT much time. (sigh)

Pretty....BAD. (ha ha)

I've done some book trailers. This is my favorite - it's the one on top. "Unholy Hunger" . Because I get to do the dark stuff.

And this is why it makes no sense that there aren't more women's voices heard doing movie trailers!

A soft, slow delivery from Melissa in which one can hear the gentle "let me tell you something you need to know " eye contact is a pure poetry.

Thanks - It was fun. I don't know why, I just LOVE, LOVE the dark stuff. Did a thing for a haunt that was a blast - if I can get a link and it's ok I'll post it.
