I've been registered for perhaps 8 months on this great board, but have have been delinquent in the manners my old Ma taught me by not properly introducing myself.
The names Wyatt and I'm still learning about the VO business everyday. Been working diligently with the wonderful Nancy Wolfson for 6 months. (1,000 thank you's to the outstanding Easy Rider Rick Riley for directing me there).
Just a few things about me:
I'm a single father of two fantastic boys ages 14 and 12. I've been an entrepreneur most of my life with a number of successful business's and currently still operate an online retail business.
I was in radio for a number of years. (when I was younger and had hair). I actually have been behind a microphone at sometime or another through most of my life. I was recording into an old Panasonic tape deck imitating Larry Lujack from WLS in Chicago when I was very young. My father owned a few "Disco's" and at 17 and under age was DJing there. Then the last 2 years in the Marine Corps I was doing mobile DJ work in California for extra money. After that many radio stations.
I know some of you from Facebook or other venues and love reading your posts. Thanks for the time...and for the owners and Admins for making this a great environment. _________________ Smiling is good medicine!

Hi Wyatt... all the important stuff has been covered. If you survived Nancy, you'll do just fine here.

Wyatt... I'm shocked! You've been a member since July 2012, and haven't received you "VO-BB" new member kit in the mail. I'll check with shipping to see what the delay is.
Although the monthly dues envelopes are the most important article included in the new member kit, you'll also enjoy the 2014 "Voices of the VO-BB" calendar, "VO-BB" throat spray sample, "VO-BB" llama care manual, "VO-BB" guide to cultivating watercress, and the "VO-BB" decoder ring. The decoder ring comes in handy when calculating VO rates for a plethora of vocal requests.
... and yes... I have been to the Land of Enchantment. Most of my in-laws came from Hobbs.
