Here's what I tell people. First, you grab a handful of marbles and put them into your mouth. Then, you get a script and try reading it out loud. Next, remove one of the marbles from your mouth and try reading the script aloud again. Continue this process, one marble at a time. Once you have lost all your marbles, you are in voiceover.

This isn't entirely OT, but there IS another voiceover movie. It's not about the business, but there is a central character who is a voiceoverist playing a voiceoverist. And it's pretty good. If you have streaming Netflix, it's worth a watch:

Watched the trailer for Hello Lonesome. It may be fairly accurate. The VO guy spends most of his day in his underwear.

There are quite a few scenes where he's doing ISDN sessions and, not exactly hilarity, but plot ensues. You really oughta watch.
