LOL. I am an avid guitar player, and have wanted to mess with the Uke for a while. It's not a great Uke, but I can handle $40 for a decent little instrument.

I also picked up the Antares Mic Mod EFX plugin for $20...just to see how it works. I'll be posting a test sample to see what ya'll (especially those who know their mics) think.

I love me some 10 year old Koa. Some of the best sounding wood when it isn't new anymore. The one on Musician's Friend is Nato...which is similar to Mahogany, but not nearly as refined (to my ear). It sure won't sound like an old Koa Uke, but it'll be fine for me to enjoy myself around the studio.

Living on Honolulu, I can honestly say that I can find ukuleles at Target. They are everywhere over here.
