I auditioned for a series of TV spots for the Orange County Fair in SoCal. I apparently gave them what they wanted because they hired me. But even then, the scripts they provided consisted of just my lines with no context. I'm trying to recall if someone from the agency called in to "direct" the session and I don't remember. If I'd known what the concept was, I would have emphasized "effect" rather than "fair."

I wouldn't have. There's all kinds of 'effects'. THIS one was the OC FAIR effect. I think you did it just right. And hence the game of interpretation continues...

Upon further review, I probably wouldn't have emphasized "effect" but I would have done it slightly differently.
