What do you do when you see the same audition sent out 3 times in a month, you auditioned in the first round and did not book it. Would You give it another shot knowing every VO with any agency in America has auditioned for it in the past?

This has come from different agencies, and I submitted the first one that hit my a month ago in the first round. I have responded with the "did it" notification, but wonder if it's a chance to try a different style!

What would you do?

Thanks.

Does it have new specs that are more specific or is it exactly the same? I guess it doesn't hurt to try it...but it might be a waste of time too Smile

I wouldn't. The likelihood of them even hearing your audition is next to nothing.

You could try a totally different approach. But, if it's made the rounds like this it begs the question....Why? Perhaps either they don't really KNOW what they are looking for...or they simply are giving lousy instructions.

You have to balance the possible reward with the effort involved.

It's a bit like the lottery. I usually will buy one ticket. I figure...my chance of winning is only about one in 250 million. Yet, it's infinitely greater than Zero. (no ticket at all)

Plus...I won't miss the 3 bucks.

So...that leaves it up to you to decide if it's worth the investment. Knowing, going in, that the chance of success is Slim..to NONE.

You guys are presuming that all three of your auditions would be sent in if you auditioned through three different agents. Agencies are frequently asked to only send in their top 5 or 10 auditions, so you could be totally out of contention if your agents (or their junior interns) are having a bad day.

If all those auditions are far apart I'd be tempted to go again, but if they're all close to each other it is bad form to double dip.
