We start the year with this empty cake plate because, despite what you may have read on Facebook, Voiceover Universe, Plaxo, or elsewhere, it is NOT Peter O'Connell's birthday, nor is it Drew Hadwal's.

So true. And I'm not quite sure how to say thanks for all the well wishes I'm getting there other than to say "Thanks so much!" I won't be getting any on my real birthday later in the year when I will celebrate my 20th anniversary of being 37.

May I add my Mother in Law, Marie Metcalf? She recently announced that she no longer will have birthdays. We are encouraged to wish her "Happy Wednesday"…and so on.
