I had foul called for responding, so I admit...I am friends with banjo players. But I'm OK with that. |

Despicable banjo bigotry, I say....
I hear the doddering old coot secretly harbors a fondness for Yanni. _________________ Don Brookshire

Yanni = some of the best concerts I've seen. Really.
The folks who make up his core band are amazing musicians. (I don;t think that there's a banjo player in the bunch, though.) _________________ Doug Turkel (tur-KELL)

I like banjo music, so that probably puts me in the 10th circle of Hell, right there.
As for Yanni...

Yeah, Bela's amazing. (Even if he is the reason I can only respond to Philips new posting rule here in this thread.)
His synthaxe drumitarist Roy "Futureman" Wooten is incredible.
Roy's brother, bassist Victor Wooten is pretty badass, too.
PS. Philip. I'm fairly certain that Roy recorded this video just for you. _________________ Doug Turkel (tur-KELL)

I've known Bela pre-Flecktones.... NOBODY knows a banjo quite so well.... Or knows how to make it sound quite like that.
And Victor?... Makes me embarassed I own a bass.
As for Roy? I'll never understand. Never.
Pigs fly? Nah.... Hippos? Cosmic.
