Well, since I'm no longer on Facebook (and I feel 'cleansed') , this is the only place I can share good news like this; hope you don't mind. Signed a contract last week with Pandora to voice spots for them. I know it's not huge, compared to some of the national gigs a lot of you heavy hitters get, but the pay is good and the work is steady. I know some talents who make $50k + annually voicing for them. Anyway.... I'm excited. Another notch in the belt. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

Congratulations Scott on the bigger better and more numerous baskets and eggs!

Wonderful news and well deserved.
"I know it's not huge, compared to some of the national gigs a lot of you heavy hitters get" - Don't be fooled by any of the BIG HITTERS on here, implied work is not the same as money in the bank work. |

Big money nationals are the occasional sprinkles on the doughnut of life. Most of us plug away at the corporate stuff which has all the glamour of an industrial-strength rubber glove. Now a regular gig with Pandora may not be haute couture ... but it is a very stylish pair of shoes.
And deep inside those mixed metaphors is a very big "well done!" _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

LOL.... thanks all. Especially for all the great analogies and metaphors. You had me smiling.
Bish, you are SO right. The vast, vast majority of what I do is as about exciting as moldy bread, but it DOES put the bread on the table. And I get to do it at home, in my own time, barefoot and with the dogs curled at my feet. So, perhaps not 'exciting' per se, but well worth waking up for each morning! And I love the shoes analogy. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

Hey, Dave Fennoy probably doesn't make that much per announcement on Hulu, but he does so many of them(!) I'm sure he's quite happy.

This is great news, Scott! Congratulations!
I have to say I inspect bread carefully and quickly toss the moldy stuff. Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! But that's literal. The moldy bread of yore and now indeed covers the rent. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!
