Pile o'sh*te, ought to be ashamed of himself. Yes he should be held up as an example to others but that's NOT a good thing. I want ALL of you who have played the "awesome card" to go to your rooms and you may come back down WHEN and NOT UNTIL you are ready to apologise.

Liev Schreiber, and many of Ken Burns' narrators, including David Keith and David McCullough are tops in my book.

Peter Thomas is at the top of my list of voices I love. I can listen to Philip Banks ready anything he pleases. Melissa Exelberth is lusciousness personified. Moe Egan is another vocal crush.

Melissa Exelberth - The trusted guide who will take you anywhere in safety but with honesty.

Cris Dukehart - Takes the mundane and sprinkles it with magic.

Alexis Korner - When the blues man put down his guitar the world listened.

Julie Berry - Walks on velvet and cashmere.

James Hayter - The paternal grandfather for a lost child ....

Among my faves are Cate Blanchett, Sigourney Weaver, Liam Neeson, Kiefer Sutherland. I could listen to Philip Banks and Bob Souer all day, and I think Debbie Irwin has one of the best voices out there.

So I see the title of this thread. Looks interesting so I check it out, whatdyaknow, I'm in there! I'd say thanks, but it's one of those things I had nothing to do with, but I'll say thanks anyway.

It's interesting because when radio, after 29 years, showed me that it was not the venue I wanted to pursue, my wife encouraged me towards VO. I wanted nothing to do with it. I'd heard myself on radio for years and didn't like the sound of my voice. There were guys with much better voices who could do much better jobs than I. But the family needed to be fed, so... I did. It's also interesting how one's voice changes. I listen to my earlier stuff and it's markedly different than now. I guess it's like any other body part you work with, it get's stronger and more resilient. (I need to try that with my brain)

Bottom line, the voices mentioned in this thread are all great. And Bob Souer stands out as one of my faves as well. To be mixed in with that company is more than flattering. For that, thank you very much!

I like voices that "sound like Morgan Freeman". But oddly, not Morgan Freeman himself.

Actually, I'm a big Mike Rowe fan. He's always Mike Rowe. Nice timbre and lots of personality in everything he does.
