Sorry, double post. San Diego is nicer than LA. +1 for what Connie said in other thread. We have a world famous Zoo, Sea World, etc.

I'll be there! Strangely it is cheaper to fly from Portland, ME to NYC than it is to take the train from Southern Maine into the Big Apple. Do you still need help finding a venue?

Yes I do need help. The Hilton in Times Square has no room but offered an alternative location on Broadway.

Interaction with them so far, poor. Charges, unreasonable even for New York.
Morning coffee and tea for 25 people $600, really?

So. Room for 25 people - 10 people attending so far.
Water, drinks n snacks plus lunch. We bail at 6pm and go and find somewhere for dinner.

I am actually going to be in New York from the 15th to the 18th - driving up the river to Hudson on the 19th for my mom's little memorial. With a good friend and my niece and nephew though and probably can't carve out time for all day intensive - rats!!!

(And Philip - that fee is pretty typical for a room and coffee service at hotels - I planned a two day conference this week and the food and beverage, AV and room rates are ridiculous.)

(ps - when will you end up out on the Left Coast?)

The fee was for morning coffee only, room was $1,200 extra. Lunch around $7.4 million.

West coast as yet undecided.
