I'm planning to get an Apollo Twin Solo - single core.
Any recommendations on where to buy one?

Sweetwater seems to have the best deal:
$699 -includes thunderbolt cable and 2yr warranty

With a product as hot as the Apollo Twin, you're not going to find discounts on these yet. I want one bad, though! It's pretty much killed my lust for an Audient iD22 (which I am still waiting to demo, 6 months later).

I followed your link, Darren, and I don't know if you saw, but SW has a demo model for $629! Thought you'd be interested!

Is this just for music? How would this be applied to VO work?

And while I've been a PC guy all my life, I am really starting to get fed up with the lack of products for the platform. It feels like an out of the box Macbook pro is like a turnkey DAW without any extra effort. Am I wrong here?

I picked it up from Sweetwater. Love those guys. Watch out if you use TB for an external monitor and only have one TB port. That's a can of worms.

KILLER interface though. Sounds amazing!

Thanks George, more than price, I just wanted to make sure sweetwater was a good place to buy from since the extra warranty period would go through them.

sdaeley17 - demo model you loose the free thunderbolt cable, so it kinda negates the savings, but thank you for pointing that out.

DeadDillo - Not for music, just VO.
"How would this be applied to VO work? "Ehhhh...I dont know exactly..it does a bunch of great things which I'll understand better when I get it.... George (Soundgun) has seen my setup and recommended it.

Jason - Thanks, I had seen your posts. Appreciate it.

THat is one sexy piece of kit, it killed my lusting after the audient, too!

Looks a lot more portable, and has a power switch! (something Paul Strikwerda lamented the audient not having in his blog.)

Pity about the TB cable. Did you talk to the SW reps about the demo not coming with it, Darren? I couldn't find any info to that effect. Even if you bought your own, at least you'd save twenty bucks, haha.

Best of luck on your purchase!

Correction, I see what you mean, the sale sticker doesn't list the free TB cable like the new version does. Sorry, Darren!
