A month or more ago I posted in the "Work" section looking for some talented male and female spanish-speaking voiceoverists for a moderately large Spanish e-learning project I was producing. Several of you referred a handful of wonderful candidates, ALL of whom would have done a great job. The client finally settled on a male and female and this week we wrap up the project. I ended up using Roxanne Coyne and Miguel Alonso, thanks to those of you who recommended them, and they were a joy to work with. SUPER, super talented, extremely easy to work with and very quick to turn the audio around. I can't recommend them highly enough.
So thanks to THEM, to this forum for providing a venue to find folks like them, and to all of you who offered so many great leads for Spanish-speaking talent. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

I am proud to say I recommended Miguel and I'm not at all surprised. I worked with him many, many times in Phoenix both in his lovely Spanish accented English, or one of his many Spanish dialects. He spent his youth in Spain, his young adult years all over Central and South America, and many years in Mexico. He can do all kinds of accents and regionalisms which makes him very versatile. He can also be incredibly funny.
In case you have a need for someone like him here's his website:

Bruce, both talents had to do a wide variety of voice styles, from teen to adult, and they did an amazing job. Plus, Miguel had to read an utterly hysterical story, in Spanish, of a Dr. Frankenstein-like character with his Igor-like sidekick. He had me in stitches. He (and Roxanne) are some kinda talented. Thanks so much for sending him my way. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

Dan and I love working with Roxanne. She is a rock star when it comes to professionalism and a lot of fun to boot! _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

It's always a great thing to be able to recommend a friend for a gig- I've done so many times- and had the blessing of being recommended by a fellow VO many times. Long live the dolphin pool! _________________ Moe Egan

Glad to hear it, Scott! I know Roxanne is a rock star. Sounds like you hit the jackpot with her and Miguel. Soon everyone will know just how much fun Spanish is! (...I was going to say "how fun", but I was pretty sure that Nancy Wolfson would have found me and smacked me down for that.. ) _________________ jen@jengosnell.com

And the icing on the cake: Client told me yesterday there is an advanced version II in the works and they'd like for us to produce that one as well. AND, both Roxanne and Miguel said "Of course!". _________________ Scott R. Pollak

Minor threadjack: yesterday, in one of the Facebook VO groups, John Bigl asked, "Where's Scott Pollak?" I mentioned that you could still be found here. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.
