I've been contacted by a friend who works as an engineer for a radio station in the NYC metro. His station has decided to drop ISDN. They have 3 boxes for sale, one with some blemished on the display and 2 that are clean. All 3 are in excellent working condition.

I told my friend I would post there to get some ideas of prices and to see if anyone is interested in buying one of these units.

Please post if you're interested in buying a unit and if you ware, what you think a fair price would be. I'll get back with my buddy and make sure everyone is happy with the offered prices and assuming that's good, will put you directly in touch with my friend to work out the final details.

Bob,

If it's any help in pricing, I just paid $1450 for an Xstream in pristine condition on EBay. I'd shopped around quite a bit and felt I got a really good deal.

Quite a few have. Luckily you can still get ISDN installed around here.

Thanks for the heads up Bob. One question, do you know what they are replacing it with? If anything.

Thanks.

Sam,

I don't know what they're going to use instead. My friend didn't mention that, just that they'd decided to pull the plug on the ISDN and have these 3 boxes to sell.

Thanks Bob. It will be interesting to see. It seems a lot of TV stations seem to be using Skype as an on air tool, even though the results vary.

Any body else in the VO-BBverse hear about similar divestments? Should this be a new topic moderators?

After further discussions with my friend at Star 99.1 FM (the station in question) it appears you could pick up one of the Telos units for around $1000. Email me if you're seriously interested and I will pass along direct contact information.
