A few weeks ago a production company in Pakistan asked me to voice a corporate video for a client. My fee frightened them to death. Email arrived on a Friday saying script would be ready on Sunday, 1 page of A4, they asked for a deal. I eventually settled for £80.
The equiry, long forgotten, turned into "the job" this morning. Between faffing about emails I did three VO sessions for other people which would result in the bills being paid for about a month.
I tried to help the corporate client with fee, demo, trial reads, bad writing and appalling translation.
15 minutes ago I decided to help myself by asking them to find another voice.
Pity. |

Did they get shirty about your suggested corrections to the terrible translation? I love it when a client does that! |
