Wanted to see if anyone had used a Focusrite Green mic pre in the past.
They are not made anymore as is the Platinum Voicemaster Pro. I heard the algorithms on this unit were made for spoken voice... I also heard they don't work well with a 416 mic. Opinions.

Decent piece of kit in its day.... But that was nearly 20 years ago. In their time, they were well respected, but pricey. Forget what you've heard about the algorithm.... Not true.
The green series was followed by the Platinum series.
I've got a Voicemaster Platinum hanging around that I no longer use, if you're interested. Replaced by an ISA One, the next logical step in the progression. It worked just fine with the Senny. PM me if you're interested.
