Opinions? Just purchased a Roku 3. Have Apple TV. The clarity and definition of Netflix on the Apple TV is amazing, like the iOS integration. No Pandora on ATV, and Even though Airplay is cool, mirroring does not fill up the screen on my 1080p HD large screen Tv ... The Roku is getting great reviews and the content is supposedly way better than ATV.

I use a Sony Bluray S3100 for all media playing duties. Handles Amazon, Netflix, Crackle, Vudu, Youtube, a bunch more. Not as many as Roku, but it plays Blurays, too. Also allows you to stream from Android and iOS devices via Wifi, and replicates what a Chromecast does (I have one of them, too). BUT if you are wanting to mirror an iPad on your TV? Apple TV

I've got the Sony S5100 and it's the same interface as the xbox/ps2. The Sideview AHobo Tounge is cool in that it configures the phone as a remote. I haven't really felt the need often to web surf on the big screen via the iOS device, but Airplay and mirroring sort make that happen, although the mirror from the device fills up about 1/2 the real estate on the big screen. Bummer

The interface on the Sony is a little clunky and slow to respond. The ATV interface is streamlined and very quick to respond

, Netfiix viewing on ATV compared to the Sony S5100? ATV blows it way. Picture quality far superior.

The jury is out on the Roku 3.

We have Apple TV. Like it a lot, but Comcast's internet service sometimes bogs down and creates streaming problems on rare occasions.

We've got Apple TV and it gives high quality pictures. Now that it's 2 years old however it does freak out on occasion and needs to be reset. Apple does not allow a wide range of channels into their listing, or at least they're very slow at adding them. For example, lots of other devices have Amazon TV but Apple still doesn't.

Amazon Prime, Pandora, the two main aHobo Tounges missing from the Apple TV roster can be played from any iOS, or even Android device..full screen. Full remote access. Via Airplay
