I know that many people use some cloud based file sharing. Yesterday, i got an email from Dropbox saying that their is only one "Pro" plan now and it is $9.95/month and you get 1TB of storage. They have also upgraded some sharing controls.
I used to get 100GB for $9.95! I was pretty happy. I just wanted to pass it along for anybody that may be looking for some file sharing and cloud storage options.

While working on an audiobook, I did have to upgrade to a paid account to accommodate the volume of material going back and forth between the producer and me, but once the book project was completed and my renewal came up, I downgraded back to free. As far as storage goes, I just buy terabyte hard drives as needed. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

I , too, buy terabyte hard drives as needed. At Costco yesterday, I saw an item called a "Personal Cloud". Four terabytes and, supposedly, you can access it from anywhere. (I'm assuming I'd need wifi at a remote location.) Hmmm. This means I could save a file on the cloud, then open it, edit it and save it again while enjoying a steaming cup at my local coffee shop. Has anyone here tried one of these? |
