Well, my hair will probably have grown back out by then...
Andrea and I have been talking a lot lately about my leaving the beach, so it's definitely a consideration. Plus, I'd already have a place to stay in SA.

One of the key differences between Faffcon and Faffcamp is, Faffcon is limited to around 100 participants; Faffcamp isn't. That's not to say space will be unlimited*, but at the moment, about 120 people are signed up (about half of them have attended at least one Faffcon) and there's still room for more.
*Limiting factor: how many of us the hotel can accommodate.

It's a "you had to be there" event, as almost every photo on an internet very clearly shows.
Shot - Someone out of focus looking at their laptop surrounded by 14 other people either sleeping, looking at their shoes or checking Titter or Facetube to find out what's going on a Faffcon b. Total stranger is holding a Mike and power pointing at a slide illustrated with a dollar sign, four chickens, a yacht and the 5th King's own Rifles. Mike clearly does not like being held as he is being held as an example. Speaker wears an 8 foot long ribbon around their neck with a "Hall pass" wrapped in cling film attached there to. You are just about able to read "Faffcon b and beneath it Phlegm Konercvick". By the name are two gold stars and a dead Dolphin sticker entitling the delegate (or fluffer as they are known) to 20% off a library of self reading "how t'be a voyz talon" books.

On the previously mentioned subject of "attendance is unlimited," except as dictated by the capacity of the hotel, we now know that the facilities can accommodate only about 20 more Faffcampers. So, if you are on the fence, and are not one of the next 20 people to sign up, you will once again find yourself in a Faffcon-like "haven't gotten in but on the waiting list" type situation.
