VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Hey Gang

I will be moving this board to new hosting in the next few days but I will MAKE SURE I HAVE A BACKUP of everything before I do.

I will then build a new board on a phpBB3.1 framework and archive this board. It will be readable here, but not writable.

I can't translate this board to the new architecture, and I won't bore you with why. Suffice it to say this has been in the works for about 6 years. Life has a way of intervening.

Anyway, this board is likely to go down/dark/whatever for a while once the domain name moves, but with any luck it won't be long.

I'll send up a flare about the new board once I've determined I can migrate the doggoned user list.

Ye gods, what a thrash.

Anyway, the move is in the works. The new board is within sight.

It's sad that with today's technology that you can't migrate the old board information into the new one, but I understand that you can't because of....

not a problem --- i have copied & archived all of my posts and will re-post ALL of them once the new board is up. ALL 7739 of them. including these classics: "wow!", "asum dood!", " W00T

Todd, you might need to add a script to your post to adjust the number of posts that you are going to repost as the number of posts you have posted continues to rise. You're already one off....two off...three off... dang it...I need a script too.

Just wanted to mention that I will continue to do what I have from the start, which is basically nothing while watching others contribute something. Or in the case of Philip, everything, of which I actually understand almost nothing.
