Early session this morning for a HUGE project! So HUGE that even with a crane and 4 handles it is impossible to lift.
I, Philip Banks, for tis my name, was required to read extracts from the Bible.
I channelled Aslan.
Producer cautioned me that there may be some "tweaks" to the script.
"Script tweaks!" I exclaimed, which is why I just used and exclamation mark "What are you expecting, new revelation?" |

I see a pattern here... and Philip Banks is being paid to quote scripture.

Good to see a fellow heathen is profiting from the zealots.

Script tweaks to the Bible? Sure. Go to any major bookstore and you'll find at least 100 different versions. The big Bible website https://www.biblegateway.com/ has 50 versions in English and at least 50 in other languages, all virtually side by side so you can click back and forth and examine all the differences.
They can do this because I believe the copyright ran out some time ago.

Bruce,
While it's true that the copyright for several translations of the Bible have expired, the reason Bible Gateway is able to publish all of those versions is because they have agreements in place with the rights owners of all of the more modern versions.
Example, there are audio editions of several of the Bible translations as well as the text and the NIV (one of the more popular English translations) audio Bible is one for which I served as the narrator, but there are a number of other voices used for the various main characters such as Moses, Jesus, the Apostles, etc.

I was thinking of just the original copyright, upon which the other versions are based (in theory), which ran out about 1,900 years ago, give or take a century.
