ISDN bill with AT&T in October $233 (no change for almost a year)
....with Frontier Communications (AT&T sold out) in November $239
....in December $251.

Not sure yet what my threshold is......I'll have to crunch some numbers and ask some agents/accounts what they think of alternatives. I could bridge from Source Connect right now.

Check with Frontier about a contract with specified rates. It may be a workable situation. Those are small steps monthly compared to how ATT raped my account with 50-75/month increases. I baled at $400/month.

Gotcha Eddie. I tried to get AT&T to change my account to residential from business. They had a funny way of forgetting to call back though.....

I got my Frontier bill and it was double the previous bill and at first I thought the other shoe had dropped. But upon closer inspection, it seems they generate next month's bill before this month's payment is due, which is something even weasels like Bank of America don't do. The bill I received today said "billing date: 11/27/14" and showed no payments received through that date. Maybe because the payment for last month's bill isn't due for another three days (12/11/14). I sent my payment on 12/3/14 and they haven't deposited it yet.

That is not to say my fee hasn't gone up with Frontier. I was paying AT&T $138.87 a month. Frontier's first bill was $144.75, which included a new charge of $5.50 plus 17 cents Federal tax and 35 cents CT tax for "Non-Published Listing." I never asked anyone to list or not list me in a directory.

This month's bill includes a statement that says, in part, "a recent audit of our billing records revealed that you were not charged for some services when we converted your account to our new billing system These charges appear on this bill." I have no idea what "services" they're talking about because I certainly haven't received any new services. There was, however, a new item on my bill:
1 PICC ISDN BRI AUTOCH 11/27 $1.21

I have no idea what the hell that is, but my monthly bill is now $146.08 (which is what I owe them by 1/5/15, not the $290.83 that appears on my bill).

Can't wait to see how they nickel & dime me next month. Bastards!

ATT residential rates were dropped a few years back and only people that were on residential prior to that were able to be grandfathered. The new deal is nobody no how get contracts to lock in a rate. ATT is in the process to get rid of all ISDN BRI-PRI etc by 2020 and ideally by 2019. You might look into EDNET though. They will buy out a circuit and put you on it.
