When I was back in Hoosierville the big traffic stoppers were trains stopping at railroad crossings for more that the legal 10 minutes. Sometimes more than 60 minutes. _________________ "Bailey"

Ah ha! I thought that might be the issue. I occasionally work at a recording studio that is located about 10 feet from a railroad track...takeus-interruptus for sure. _________________ Playing for a living...

truth is, i grew up with trains about half a mile from home. I always loved hearing and feeling them go by.
Now I live about a mile away and its truly remarkable how frequently they go by when I'm trying to record.
It usually jams me up for about 10 minutes plus whatever I've got to trash that I was working on.
If I could just find a cave somewhere. |

Bust my buffers! Would Sir Topham Hatt approve of this complaining? All those trains are trying to do is be Really Useful, after all.
Except for Toby, 'cause he's just square. _________________ Finally, Ford stops starting to say things and starts. |

For me it was the planes from nearby Dobbins Air Force base here in Atlanta after we moved to our new place in summer '12. They're about 5 miles away and when they're running their touch 'n' go's and other exercises, I had to hang it up, until I was finally able to move the studio down into the basement earlier this year.
Now I hear NUTHIN', and it's heaven. _________________ Scott R. Pollak
