The Shriner's Hospital in Cincinnati specializes in burns. They have been UNBELIEVABLY compassionate, caring, straightforward and thorough.

If you're not familiar with Shriner's hospitals... the treatment is free of charge to any child under 18. From now on I will be making contributions and finding ways to continually thank these people.

The Shriners have been at the forefront of children's burn care for as long as I can remember.

I am so, so sorry about your little girl but glad that the Shriners are close at hand.

Tom,

My prayers are with you and your daughter. Thank you for sharing. And as Deirdre said, the Shriner's work with children who have been burned goes back a long way.

Exactly so, Chuck - that's the extent of my experience with the Shriners - it is good to hear that they're actually doing great things for real people in need.

Your family has our best thoughts as well, Tom. We hope she has a speedy recovery!

It's also amazing how events like this open your eyes to the good that organizations do, too.

Hope you daughter makes a quick recovery.
