My flights are booked. I have an apartment in the Financial District in which to sleep but beyond that nothing planned or booked. I'll start a separate thread so we can get our sh*t together!

Today one of my horoscopers had nothing much to say regarding my falling in love on a train journey to Minsk while meeting a gigner haired man who knew an awful lot about the career of the drummer in The Archies. Because of this he resorted to random typing and the result was very helpful for anyone. especially those in our business.

Professional success will not occur overnight, but it will happen. Keep your nose to the grindstone. Working behind the scenes will help you get a promotion. People will appreciate your willingness to dispatch difficult jobs without lots of fuss. Your humble diligence will be rewarded. If an exciting job becomes available, be sure to apply. An influential person will be happy to write you a recommendation. Anyone who has worked with you can attest to your talent. Call in a few favours.

My phone in the office rang, rang again, rang again. rang again. At around 4am I go up and called the caller back in a calling kinda way.

"Help. We're in Dr Gray's"

Jumped in car and went to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin.

Angela and daughter Talia ( 8 ) returned to the marital home AGAIN for yet another reconciliation. Dad/Hubby thought it would be a great token of love to beat the sh*t out of both of them. Luckily a neighbour heard the noise coming from the house and called the Police.

The staff at Dr Gray's used medical stuff to stick Mum and daughter back together. Then I got the call. Both girls are still sound asleep upstairs (now after midday). I'm under orders from the Health Gnomes to check on them every hour or so, just in case. Jazz is on Talia's bed and Bess is snuggled up with Angela.

At some point this afternoon Angela's Mum and Dad will arrive to take the girls back to Edinburgh.

So, that was how my Thursday started!

I raise my hat to a 70 something year old 120lb Heroine. Early yesterday evening a very distinguished couple arrived to collect their daughter and grand daughter. Dad (Fin, short for Finnian) was wobbly but sort of hung in there. Mum (Sally, short for an adult female) was a rock. I fed them all Chinese food, they fed Jazz and Bess Chinese food.

The journey to Edinburgh would take at least 4 hours and as both Angela and Talia were still far from well I suggested Fin and Sally stay at a nearby hotel, the girls stay here, we reconvene after breakfast and they start their journey home all fresh as daisies. Fabby!

Sally went into - Mother will do everything, organise everything, make sure all is right in the world. All worked well. The woman didn't wobble or faff once.

We were all mid conversation about everything and nothing when Sally got up and looked at me.

"Philip, show me your voice studio it sounds fascinating!" We both left the sitting room and adjourned to my office.

"Not really much to see" I said "I live in there" I continued, pointing at the anonymous white door.

I took her into the VO booth, she indicated that I should shut the door. So there were were, alone and in silence. Sally then grabbed a hold of me as if her very life depended on it, her knees buckled and she had a factor 10 meltdown. No way was she going to allow her husband, daughter or grand daughter see how she felt, I was allowed to see it in all its glory. I am a man who 3 hours earlier she had never met, but for some reason she trusted me. Heart breaking to witness but it was good that she let it all go.

Back to sitting room. Granny is in complete control, the troops are organised, nothing will go wrong, not on HER watch!

That woman - My hero!

With any luck I'll get my house back a little after 10am.

Nice to hear an extremely rare account of a voiceover studio actually being put to important use.

And for answering your phone at 4 a.m. and rescuing people who need help. I hope all will be well with them.

Friday - VO session for something Katy Perry is doing other than tweeting.
Monday - VO session for L'Oreal, because I'm worth it.

Just now. I don't look 54 with my eyes closed but DO bump into things.

There are people in this world with Phds, MBAs, BSCs and all manner of qualifications. Yesterday my OLA was officially confirmed. My WHAT?

OLA - On Line Asshole

Most people have known this honour is long overdue and will delight in hearing of its arrival.

My dearest friend described in detail exactly who I am, what defines me, what others who have met me see and how many love me and have been touched by my gentle, kind spirit ... Excuse me, there's something in my eye. NO I AM NOT. THERE IS SOMETHING IN MY EYE!

So ended the pre-award speech. The award speech was brief.

"No one who sees what you post on an internet sees the real you- You're an On Line Asshole!"

Philip Banks BA(Oxon) LLB OLA

Do I get a badge or a cerstiffcut? Over the weekend I may get thump!
