I can see the calling card: offline mensch, online asshole.

(mind you, most people I know earned their OLA within five minutes of logging on for the first time. You laggard!)

Every day on a variety of web sites I read my horoscope, because, simply because. Today the content of one site read as follows.

PISCES - February 20th - March 20th

Impulse purchases will be a source of serious regret. Keep your hard earned money in the bank, where it will protect you from financial upheavals. If a source of income dries up, remain calm. You can find a temporary job involving art, entertainment or luxury goods. Use this respite to formulate a new career plan. Finding an employer that prizes creativity and flexibility is critical. You have too many talents to be satisfied with a static work situation. Be frugal during your job search

Read it?
Read it again.
Any content or substance?
Triple check.
Anything?
You're right. Nice house but ain't nobody home.

Every day on a variety of web sites I read my horoscope and conclude that, like religion, I should keep the bits I like and throw the rest away.

Pisces - Today you will walk the dogs and do a bunch of stuff. If anyone tries to upset you warn them once and should they ignore you try a good hard t'ump!

This is a rule to live by. None of this "turn the other cheek" namby-pamby, kumbaya stuff.

Of course, the "t'ump" does not have to be (and probably shouldn't be) a literal one... but a withering, well-crafted verbal response can have the same effect Wink

The t'ump is always metaphorical.

"He(she) attacked me with louche wit!"

On our way home me and the Collies had to walk through top soil. If the Farmer wants to know where he can find his field WE ATE IT, INHALED IT AND ARE WEARING THE REST!

One does not have to look too far to discover the curse of our age - A love of vague immeasurable concepts and pointless targets. If you didn't know there is a secret organisation "The Sussex Edge Society", its members dedicated to infiltrate every area of business and politics. Many Voice Over people, agents. coaches and producers are members. THEY ARE HERE TOO!

I have made a specific allegation and know that I will receive hate mail and a highly trained team to insert a Mallard where the sun don't shine.

May be I will be able to appease them by posting a blog on LinkedIn "10 ways a Voice Over Agent can help repair your Kitten"

You don't fool us with your mock surprise and indignation about secret societies. For a Sassanach to thrive that far north of the border you certainly belong to a few of these "Leagues of gentlemen" (don't tell us you have immunity because Jazz and Bess are such good diplomats & negotiators). I'd put money on the fact that The Sussex Edge Society has a sharing agreement with The Moray Merchants (Buckie branch) that allows you to run your business there, and in return, wee Jock McTavish can run his Battered Mars-bar restaurant empire (six locations stretching from Bognor Regis to Bexhill), unfettered and free from persecution (as long as he abides by the stipulation that he never wears his kilt while traveling on the top-deck of an omnibus).

Quid pro quo (and a fancy handshake).

Since June 1974 I have been negotiating a multi-billion dollar contract with a number of the top interweb designers to update my web page. It got to the point where we were discussing catering and how best to Feng shui the entire content.

On Thursday I sent a note to Rob (Anne's eldest son).

"Could you give my web site a quick vacuum, polish and lick of paint?"

"I'll do it over the weekend" came the reply

Job done, no charge.

Why didn't I do that in the first place?
