It is still 80 degrees on my deck at 8:15 pm pdt. Normal would be in the 60's.

Mid-week it had warmed up too quickly and the high volume of rapidly thawing snow and ice around the house began threatening to flood my basement. As I write this it is minus 2 Celsius (About 30 Fahrenheit), and it has been alternating between freezing rain and snow over the past 6-odd hours. In a couple of days it is apparently going to be -16 Celsius (or about 3 degrees Fahrenheit).

I have no idea where you live Gregory, but boy do I ever want to be there right around now!

Above average here in Tucson as well. I love being able to eat dinner out on the patio. The increased allergy symptoms, not so much.

In Lakeside, California which is about 20 miles inland from San Diego and the coast. It was 94F here today. It is 75 F at 10:06 pm.

We are having a Santa Ana condition with warm dry winds blowing in from high pressure over the Great Basin. The winds heat as they come down the mountain slopes. In increases the wild fire danger. We get nervous as this is the fourth year of a drought.

I hear you Richvoice. Bad year here for allergies. Late February we were in Scottsdale for a conference at the Mayo Clinic. We need to get over your way and visit my uncle in Green Valley.

In Southern Finland we have Spring in March. It is about plus 5 Celsius in the daytime and sunny.

Some flowers are already in bloom and there is no snow here. Sometimes we
have had snow into May, but it was gone several weeks ago.

In the Northern part of Finland they still have snow but not in the South or even parts of Central Finland.

An unusual start to the year.
